Super Time Force is finally being ran. I'm surprised it hasn't shown up sooner at one of these. Splatoon also looks like it could be neat.
Super Mario Maker (Custom Level Blind Race), oh boy
Here's how the Mario Maker speedrun works:
It is going to be a ~45-55 minute race between 2 teams of 4 players: Dram55, linkdeadx2, trihex, mitchflowerpower, TheMexicanRunner, Andy, area51, and myself (teams haven't been made yet). The levels will be meticulously designed specifically for that race by Carl_Sagan42, Dan Salvato, PangaeaPanga, Sethbling and members of SMWCentral (SMW hacks). They will be fine tuned to maximize the potential of a blind race. There will be no 100-mario challenge, no random levels, it will only be a big race between 7 world class Mario players (and me) in stages designed by some of the most well-known and qualified level designers the speedrunning community has to offer. There is also a donation incentive for a hard levels race. I'm not sure about who the runners will be for that one, but they will be breezing through some of the more insane levels that have been made since the game's release. I'm a bit less involved in that one and I think some stuff might be left as a surprise so I can't tell for sure what they're going to do with it.
