Well my 9800GTX just died yesterday and I need to look for a new graphics card. And since every Nvidia card I own has only a 1 year life expectancy I've been thinking about going ATI. I have this old X600 that I use as a backup when my Nvidia cards hit the dust , and since it hasn't died yet I think I should buy the ATI way. Anyway I really don't want to go over $250, and even that is a little high for me I'm wondering whats the best card I can get for my cash. I was thinking about getting this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102878 So what do you guys think I'm really only looking for ATI cards Specs(If you want them): CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 @ 2.33 GHz RAM: 4GB RAM DDR2 OS: Windows 7 64bit Mother Board: MSI P45 Neo3-FR Current GPU: Radeon X600(Used to be 9800GTX until it died) Power Supply: Rosewill RP550 550W ATX Thanks for the help
Yes. Get that. A minor overclock and you have yourself a 5850.
I would get a 4890. Pretty much the same performance but it is just hard to find.
Recommend you to buy 9800gtx again, i bouht it about a year ago, and it works nice.
how about a HD 5770 ?
ATI HD 5850 or HD 5830
