That's.. Surprisingly good of EA.
EA doing something good? That doesn't seem like them. There must be a different reason behind it, "we listened to feedback" is unlikely to be the real reason. If that was true they would of got rid of them a long time ago.
Any games that went free with Online played and good on Xbox? I need more games for it, I have like 7 games for the damn thing

Even when they said that they were in favour of gay marriage, people weren't satisfied.

"You can't hate us! That's homophobic!"
they're doing this because the xbox one will handle online fees for them
they're doing this because the xbox one will handle online fees for them
And also the fact that XBOX ONE will force players to buy new games or else pay a similar fee for a used game.
Or you know, they might just have turned good with their new boss ...
Finally I can play my copy of skate 3 online. Because i didn't buy it pre-owned. The code was expired.
And then they shut down the servers for those games in five months, making it a moot point.
they're doing this because the xbox one will handle online fees for them
EA could be giving out free money and you guys would still complain that they're giving it out in 10s instead of 20s.
Oh come on, that's bullshit. They hid behind that damn statement like a shield forever. "You can't hate us! That's homophobic!"
Could you point out an example please
EA could be giving out free money and you guys would still complain that they're giving it out in 10s instead of 20s.
What exactly are you trying to say? EA is a business. A greedy business. They've screwed over consumers on so many occasions that they well deserve the hate they've garnered. So if you have something you legitimately think they'd do "because they're nice" then say it. EDIT:
Could you point out an example please
Well, this is one of the things I had in mind. The way they responded to the "Worst Company in America" award by claiming it was by "homophobic" people was just ludicrous. They hid behind that damn statement like a shield forever. "You can't hate us! That's homophobic!"
When the fuck did they say this? Are you refering to the blog post made by an EA employee that said "some people who hate us do it because our games actually suck, some people do it because they just want to troll, and some people hate us because of homosexuality." They have literally never said "you can't hate us it's homophobic," they're pointing out how some people don't like EA because of the gay sex in Mass Effect and shit. Which is true.
It's rather nice of EA to do this and I give them props for removing the price tag but it's a feature that never should have existed in the first place.
It's rather nice of EA to do this and I give them props for removing the price tag but it's a feature that never should have existed in the first place.
I think that online passes are pretty stupid, and I'd never pay for one, but they're somewhat justified.

This week, we’re seeing posts on conservative web sites urging people to protest our LGBT policy by voting EA the Worst Company in America.
Source:http://www.ea.com/news/we-can-do-better And for the record, I don't believe they got that award because of "conservative websites urging people to vote"

They aren't saying "OMG U DONT LIKE US DATS HOMOPHOBICC", nor are they saying that the homophobes were the only reason they "won". They were simply stating that some conservatives were voting for them just because they support gay rights, and nothing more.
EA is not nearly as bad at PR as they used to be. They've been making a comeback since the SimCity fiasco. I hope people's opinions of them will change accordingly.
Whenever EA does something positive, someone always comes up with bullshit like this. At Bioware, we like Gay Marriage, thus every character is now bisexual and if you say it's wrong and out of place, you're just a homophobic entitled nerd.
That's.. Surprisingly good of EA.
I think it's because they poker a lot on digital distribution and Microsoft's anti-used-games strategies. If everything's bound to an account, no need for a separate pass. Still, they could've kept the system as-is for the time being. Nice move.

At Bioware, we like Gay Marriage, thus every character is now bisexual and if you say it's wrong and out of place, you're just a homophobic entitled nerd.
this has literally nothing to do with homosexuality, are you fo'real? the reason why there's so much gay in mass effect 3 is because the characters are horribly written and bioware couldn't be assed to factor in sexual preference, homophobia, bigotry, or just having meaningful relationships in general.

Don't nitpick.
That's just one of the many reasons he listed. Don't nitpick.
Ok, fine, if you want to believe EA is honestly doing this because they think it's the right thing to do. Go ahead. Honestly, I hope you're right, but I don't believe it myself.
