• Headset trouble!

My headset isn't working. When I connect it to my PC I get this message: "One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it. For assistance in solving this problem, click this message." Can it be fixed or do I have to buy a new headset? I've tried to reinstall the drivers but to no effect. I also tried to connect to a different port but that didn't work either.
Get a new headset, and get one that actually plugs into the motherboard instead of one with it's own sound card. Better yet, go visit the headphones thread, get a good pair of headphones and a clip-on mic.

If there's no visable problems with the USB connection, RMA them if you can, or you may be able to cut the wire after the USB soundcard and wire up your own 3.5mm terminals as a fix.
