• How to install windows live, (new version) to a folder?
    10 replies, posted
Hey everyone, my dilemma is that I cannot remove my old version of Windows Live, and it's telling me now that I have to update or I can't use my account. So naturally, I'm stuck. Is there a way to save it to a folder so I can just open Windows Live Messenger whenever I want to use it? Thanks.
why can't you remove it?
I've deleted every file in every folder and when I open the installer, it says it can't remove the previous version and rolls back.
That's because you deleted all the important files
I deleted it after it failed rolling back, not before.
try running ccleaner registry scan
Doesn't work.
try REG DELETE "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows Live\Messenger' /f REG DELETE HKLM\Software\Microsoft\MSNMessenger /f REG DELETE HKCU\Software\Microsoft\MSNMessenger /f REG DELETE "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows Live\Communications Clients\Shared" /f REG DELETE HKCU\Software\Microsoft\IdentityCRL /f
Nope.
check pms
Thanks.
