ZZ Top is an American blues rock band formed in 1969 in Houston, Texas. The band members are Billy Gibbons (vocals and guitar), Dusty Hill (bass guitar and vocals), and Frank Beard (drums). They hold the distinction of being one of the few rock bands still comprising its original members for nearly 40 years, and until 2006, with the same manager/producer, Bill Ham. They reached the peak of their commercial success in the 1970s and 1980s, scoring many hit songs during that era; but they remain together today and are still touring and releasing albums. ZZ Top was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on March 15, 2004. Summarizing their music, Cub Koda wrote, “As genuine roots musicians, they have few peers; Gibbons is one of America’s finest blues guitarists working in the arena rock idiom … while Hill and Beard provide the ultimate rhythm section support.” Their song lyrics often feature sexual innuendo and humor. He is also the lead singer and composer for many of the band's songs. Gibbons is known for playing his Gretsch Billy Bo guitar and his famous 1959 Gibson Les Paul guitar known as Pearly Gates. Gibbons has a bass vocal range, spanning E1 to E♭5, one of the widest ranges in Rock. He is noted for using a Mexican peso coin as a guitar pick and uses many pinch harmonics in his solos. Dusty Hill Joseph Michael "Dusty" Hill is the bassist and vocalist with the American rock group ZZ Top. Frank Beard Frank Lee Beard is the drummer in the rock band ZZ Top. Beard was formerly with the bands The Cellar Dwellars, who originally were a three-piece band, The Hustlers, The Warlocks, and American Blues before starting to perform and record with Billy Gibbons and Dusty Hill as ZZ Top. Ironically, Beard is the only member of ZZ Top who does not wear a beard. Usually, he wears only a moustache, although he did go through a phase in the 1990s where he wore a tidy beard. Here are some of their popular songs: Sharp Dressed Man La Grange Tush Gimme All Your Lovin' Legs Their beards are hot. :smug: Discuss.

I got to see these guys in concert a couple years ago, and it was awesome. They've been touring for over 30 years! That's one hell of a long time
Nice to see the only band-member named beard doesn't have one
