Nukes aren't ~new~ to the new Battlefield series. Remember...uh, there was kind of a nuke fucking Paris scene in the third one. This easter egg is "meh", in my opinion, it feels like it's trying too hard.
A map getting nuked would be interesting for their "Levolution" thing to be honest
Unless it hints at the creation of a giant, nuclear-powered, atomic-ray expelling monster...not that cool [editline]27th March 2014[/editline] However...if this does create "Kaiju Mode"...I will buy BF4 and Premium in a heartbeat
Theirs a huge goose chase going on at Reddit's BF4 subreddit right now regarding this. Stuff like morse code, propaganda posters, and all sorts of goodies are being found.
Why does this reminds me of Scalar weapon or whatever it was called in BFBC2?
Putting secret things into your games should become a common practice, it gives the feeling that there is more to it. It's the sole reason Nazi Zombies of Black Ops was more popular than the main game itself, so much stuff to find and it was a goddamn wave survival. I love these type of things.
When the first DLC map for Black Ops 1 Zombies came out, titled "Ascension", it was fun watching all of the videos of the various easter eggs/secret weapons that could be found throughout. It also expanded the storyline massively, and is arguably the best Zombies map to date.

It even expanded storyline to BO2, the lava-filled Earth.
