I can imagine with this DK will become more popular.

But they are right and it's not that bad. You needed only one lvl 55 character on your account, and as they said, people coming to play now can simply start at 90. Though i suppose now people have the chance to boost a dk to 90 if they don't have any other characters.
remember when they threw around the concept of death knight replacing your old character
Jesus that title. 'Blizzard to scrap World'

You get geared out in pretty good gear right from the start if I remember. So even with the requirement, it's not like a new player has to do any more work or anything
I can imagine with this DK will become more popular.
As if it needed to be. Between Monks and DK's, there's pretty much no use for any other class :v:

I only played WoW for a month or so but I always liked the idea. I would've liked to see some more WC3 hero classes like Blademaster or Demon Hunter.
I remember in Mu Online, when you got to level 210 (220?), you had a new character "Magic Gladiator" unlocked. However, unlike in WoW, you started from level 1. I think its more fair this way overall. They should've revamped DKs to make start from level 1, but they won't do it now since it will require a) removing the entire death knight prologue sequence and b) revamping leveling since level 1 for DKs.

maplestory probably had the best hero class system in an mmo
maplestory probably had the best hero class system in an mmo
You mean that you didn't start with a class? I thought that was pretty alright but nothing to write home about.
no, maplestory had class options that were heroes
I completely forgot that hero classes were a thing. Too bad they didn't expand on that because it was a neat idea.
I completely forgot that hero classes were a thing. And up until now I had some hope for a hero class for the next expansion, but now that they're ditching level requirements... Ehhh... Shame, really. Finally getting to the appropiate level and be able to play as a badass fucking DK was rewarding as shit.
As if it needed to be. Between Monks and DK's, there's pretty much no use for any other class :v:
Monks are kind of mediocre tanks atm. And monk healers are also very so-so. but DKs are fantastic DPS and Tanks.
I can imagine with this DK will become more popular.
Isn't it like the second or third most popular class? I know for sure hunters are #1. but I can't remember whether DKs, paladins or druids were right behind hunters. Edit: just checked. Paladins, DKs, and druids are basically tied. Hunters are about 12% of the population, while those three are each about 10%.
I only played WoW for a month or so but I always liked the idea. DK was the only really original class that they haven't done in any of the other classes, them being a hero class is very weird and arbitrary since they are the only hero class
Jesus that title. 'Blizzard to scrap World'
yeah I got scared too. I thought it was something about the movie or some expansion! Turns out it's just opening the floodgates to Death Knights.
Remember how the Death Knight was supposed to be the first "hero class?" Whatever happened to those plans?
Remember how the Death Knight was supposed to be the first "hero class?" Whatever happened to those plans?
It turned out to be a nightmare to balance. The fact that all three specs could both tank and dps was cool but still ridiculous.
It turned out to be a nightmare to balance. Their talent restructuring butchered a lot of different play styles, I miss being a Frost tank.
I miss Blood DPS. Still does decent damage while questing but its just not the same
I always went Unholy anyway because i like having a little zombo dude with me.
