• Mickey Rourke Hasn't Seen 'Iron Man 2' Yet... And Doesn't Want To!
You have to hand it to Mickey Rourke. When you ask him a question, he answers it, and he rarely opts for the PR-friendly response. Some actors can't get away with that approach — but those actors aren't Mickey Rourke. For example, when MTV News caught up with Rourke at the Toronto International Film Festival a few weeks ago and asked him about "Iron Man 2," the actor offered a brief response that, well... you just have to see for yourself. "No," Rourke told MTV News when asked if he'd seen "Iron Man 2" yet. He then offered the same response ("No") when asked if he had any interest in seeing the blockbuster sequel to 2008's "Iron Man." But it's the next response that's the real kicker, folks. "I like doing 'em," he said. "I don't give a f--- about watching my own stuff." And there you have it.
There's a video of him on that.
http://splashpage.mtv.com/2010/10/07/mickey-rourke-iron-man/
Pretty cute of him to say that!
I haven't seen it either, nor plan to. I'm just not a movie person and maybe he isn't either. This isn't news worthy.
ahahahahahaha he just sounds like such an ordinary dude
He plays the antagonist, Whiplash, in the movie.
Not unheard of, Johnny Depp doesn't watch his own movies either:
I don't like watching myself act either. mostly because I suck.
Mickey Rourke is a fuckin' badass.

"I want my bird, zis is not my bird".
"Droid better, people cause problem"
This isn't news at all. He said it about 4 months ago here, also he hasn't even seen The Wrestler :ohdear: [editline]12:43PM[/editline]
Not unheard of, Johnny Depp doesn't watch his own movies either:
Both of them are fantastic actors.
To be honest, I see no reason why someone would want to go and watch a film of which they acted in as it would destroy the immersion and atmosphere in my opinion.
I don't like reading my own writing, so I understand someone not wanting to watch their own movie.
there are quite a few actors that don't watch there own movies, so nothing out the ordinary
I don't like watching myself act either. mostly because I suck.
Don't worry if you keep at it I am sure you will start doing pegging very soon.
so what i know a lot of pornstars who dont watch their own movies
Oh wow, someone who has already read the script and had the magic of suspension of disbelief ruined by participating in the film, doesn't wanna' see the film.
The Wrestler was so moving. Rourke became the character, I understand completely why he isn't ready to see that. Iron Man 2 isn't great, but its worth a watch. Also I felt Rourke wasn't given much of an amount of screentime in Iron Man.
Probably because he knows his character was rubbish in the movie [editline]09:15PM[/editline]
Also I felt Rourke wasn't given much of an amount of screentime in Iron Man.
That may be part of why I feel the way I do
I haven't seen it either, nor plan to. I'm just not a movie person and maybe he isn't either. This isn't news worthy.
It's entertainment news.
It's entertainment news.
Not entertained by a comment he once said 4 months ago. :smug: Recommend me a classic Rourke movie, before his face was bombarded when he was a boxer.
Not entertained by a comment he once said 4 months ago. :smug:
Hey I agree, I'm just saying what it is.
OP has to be a chick, title is from one of those shit magazines on the front cover. wth.
I think it's a bit silly to not watch your own movies. It's like an artist not looking at his finished piece of work.
I think it's a bit silly to not watch your own movies. It's like an artist not looking at his finished piece of work.
Have you seen The Wrestler?
Iron Man 2 was terrible anyways. Edit: In comparison to the first movie.
Opinions. I love it to the core.
Opinions. I love it to the core.
Mickey Rourke is a great screen actor. Movies like The Wrestler and even a bit in The Expendables, amazingly... give him the chance to truly come to life. How is making a Russian accent and looking cool going to develop that?
You think I went and saw the movie just for him? You presume too much.
