So for Christmas I got a new laptop and it has a nVidia GeForce mobile 260m, 6 GB of RAM, and a 2.53 ghz processor so why am I running S.T.A.L.K.E.R., both of them, on like 20 fps at low settings? I updated all of my drivers so what is wrong? Also I'm running windows 7 on this computer.

Don't know how to link sorry
Mind telling us what laptop it is? Also, is the CPU single core?
Make sure its not bloatware that usually comes with high end laptops. Also is the graphics card running off shared memory, and since its a laptop did it come with Windows 7 Starter?
Be sure you're not on "Power Saving" settings (the stuff that underclocks your components)
Oh don't tell me you didn't update drivers.
Set your laptop on Maximum speed in the battery menu.
Some high end laptops are set >2000 x 1600 resolution. Just lower the screen resolution.
