Violation is an extremely metallic hardcore band from the Ventura County area. They have members from both Santa Barbara and Ventura area. They also share members with a couple other bands. (Minus, Downpresser, both of which are also awesome and should be checked out)
They really almost don't sound like hardcore, more of like a breed between thrash and speed metal. They fuckin' shred. I've played with them a bunch of times and seen them even more times.
They have two albums, both of which are amazing and have even better cover-work.
Devoured, and Possessed. Possessed is an EP but nothing short of it's predecessor.

Right now, they're on somewhat of a hiatus, but a member promised on the b9 forums that they are not done and merely taking a break.
