Curious to see what they're going to put in it, besides another campaign. Maybe another class.
Given that there are two classes for every attribute except strength, I assume we're going to get at least one new class. I'm expecting a Paladin or something, so the game can have a proper dedicated buffer/healer.
Eh. Too little too late. Already uninstalled Diablo 3 ages ago. I highly doubt this will be enough to spark my interest again unless it's a huge overhaul.
Still not diablo 2, no thanks.
I'm excited for it. Got over 150 hours into Diablo 3.
Maybe if it's free, then I'd try it :v:

Why rate this funny? My friend still plays diablo 3 ever since release and he is paragon 98.
Put about 100 hours into finishing it once as demon hunter and playing around a bit. Hopefully this will be good, I want to love Diablo 3 but it's replay is just so dull.
If you are bummed about Diablo 3 just play Path of Exile.
Its free and its better.
They're gonna have to completely re-do a lot of the game's aspects if they want to bring people back.
Its sad that such a mediocre game turned out to be the best selling PC game of all time due to hype and false expectations put forward by Blizzard.
Well this confirms The Dark Below is a WoW expansion then.

D2 Wouldn't be what it is now without LoD tho

LoD was a fucking amazing expansion.

It's sad that they will take that hype and false expectations as a sign that their aesthetic differences and poor writing are perfectly acceptable changes for the Diablo franchise and continue forward with them, with complete disregard for Blizzard North's original storytelling and attention to detail.
the game isn't bad because of the graphics or the writing (seriously? I hope you didn't play D2 or D1 for the writing)
it's the gameplay

ew
wouldn't touch that with a ten foot pole
I'll stick with Torchlight 2 I think :)
It needs way more than just more content, it needs a pretty deep rework.

Also the devs said they would love to ad a necro in the expansion. It would fit with the name and the info we have so far, though evil necromancers don't make much sense from a lore perspective. That probably won't stop them though.
paladin and necro would make me happy
ill stick with my blizzard tradition and purchase the collector's edition for this one as well, hopefully itll have lots of goodies as with the rest (not the WoW ones i never liked them)

The thing about the writing in the second game was that it wasn't as obstrusive. Few cutscenes, only (imho) high quality cgi,.. That's how it was able to create an amazing atmosphere.
The atmosphere in diablo 3 was shit, much thanks to a certain annoying character who would whine and be useless.
i hope this will improve the game i overhyped and bought it on release day
sure i played up to inferno (at which point the game became a massive grind) with a friend but solo i'm sure i'd have gotten tired of it way sooner
I didn't really miss the attributes or the skill tree, but I think the deal breaker for me was how the AH was far more effective than looting enemies and how to address the lack of progression after 30, they took out runes as items that you could find. The previous iterations on the rune system alone sold the game to me.
I actually prefer the way they handled skills in D3 over the way they were in D2 (and pretty much any other aRPG)
Since most of them had their damage scaling off weapon damage meant that there weren't any skills that lost relevance, unlike the skills in D2.
I missed the skill tree from D2 because of the freedom you had. It let you be crazy powerful if you played your cards right. D3's system is far too water down for my liking. There is no real pay off or decision making for investing in certain skills because they all unlock over time.

Yeah, now there are skills that just flat out suck dick instead.

There's something that bugged me about that. Not so much as it doesn't work as a mechanic, but that it just doesn't feel right not having straight damage numbers for spells.

I guess this is true too, D2 had a big problem with useless skills. They tried to even it out by adding boosts to other skills if you invested points into another, but that just made the skills everyone got even more powerful.

As opposed to in D2?
find potion anyone?
One of the things that still makes me sort of like Blizzard as that even when they make made game design decisions, they're very transparent about development, and they usually have somewhat better reasoning than typical AAA developer doublespeak.
