sunless sea had a great world even if I didn't really enjoy the gameplay, so I hope they keep the first aspect and improve on the second. either way nice that there'll be more

You might give their other game a try if you like the world. Fallen London is set in the same world as Sunless Sea and while it's almost entirely text-based instead of being a graphical game like Sunless Sea it end up being a boon in my opinion since the game's world is the interesting part. Only big issue is that a fair bit of the extra stories tend to be locked behind their fate points system which requires spending money or playing quite a lot to earn. (I've been playing for almost a month and I've only earned 4-5 fate points so far.)
I really loved watching and the idea and world of it, and would probably love to play it, just never gotten the game itself. An spaceship game of similar nature would be all the better.
I'm a little disappointed. I'll be looking forward to it because these guys can make any setting immensely interesting, but not having the nautical theme is a real bummer to me. I've no doubt it'll be unique and all that, but I'm not sure a space setting will do it for me quite like Sunless Sea did.
Should have called it Sunless Space or something. Skies made me think we were getting some Bioshock Infinite, Cloud City, Sky Captain type shit.
