Hey guys,
I just bought a new motherboard and CPU for my PC the other day. I took out the old mobo and CPU without a hitch, installed the new motherboard, including the new CPU, my power supply, RAM, HDD, and GPU. I powered it on and it looks like everything is running, but there's no display going to my monitor. I realized that the mobo doesn't come with an onboard graphics card, so I had to use my GPU, which the computer doesn't seem to recognize at all, so I can't get any picture. Do you guys know how to get the computer to recognize my GPU so I can use my monitor?
do you hear any beeps at all when booting up?
is there a debug LED on it?

Yeah, turns out the video card wasn't the problem after all.
The debug LED shows "FF" which apparently means that the CPU can't start up for whatever reason. I hear no beeps during startup as well, so there must be something wrong with the CPU.
I checked the pins and several were bent, however it looks like I got them back to normal again. Put it back as safely as I could. Assuming that I did that correct, what else could be wrong with it? The CPU power cables are in, the fan cables are in, I think I have the RAM in the right slots, yet it still only shows FF when I try to boot it.
Is there any possibility I broke the CPU by bending the pins, even though they're normal and straight now?
if there were several pins bent, it's likely that it's a busted CPU. RMA it and get a new one.
Alright, thanks. So if it looks alright physically I can just turn it in to the retail place I got it from, or do I have to contact AMD?
Also, thanks for your help. I appreciate it.
If it's within the place you got it's return policy time, do it there

Although you might want to go more the it just doesn't work route. Many places will just write off bent pins as user error
yeah, get pins as straight as possible, take it back and get a new one.
if it STILL doesn't post you have a defective mobo.
