So, I'm using my Xbox 360 with a HDMI cable to my monitor (which is not a TV), But I have a little problem, I can plug the right and left from the Xboxs normal cable into my G51 sub, but then there's not space in the AVV hole and if I take the HDMI cable out of the Xbox I obviously can't connect it to my monitor, is there anyway to do it? (I am willing to spend money on it).
Yes
Yes
Okay, then could you tell me how to do it?
What? Reword please, maybe draw some pictures then I will understand your situation better. All I got out of that was, cant fit plug into hole. Are you using the gaming adapter that comes with the logitech speakers?
get an extention for the sub wire?

youve inspired me to do this :D
Wait, what gaming adapter? I never seen the box of it since I bought it off my sis.

This, is the back of my G51 sub, the top ones are the left and right components from my default Xbox 360 AVV cable.
AVV cable:

Doesn't fit while the Xbox is connected to my monitor ^
And these are the only connections on the back of my monitor

If you've got balls and know how to use hand tools, then crack open the xbox av connector, and tape it up with electrical tape.
It's a ghetto solution, but it gives enough space for most hdmi cables to fit at the same time as the AV connector.
I don't need the AV connecter...
i needed to do this, so i took the plastic casing off the av connector and wrapped it with tape, works perfectly now
Just normal tape? Or do I have to use "electrical tape"?
Not even sure we have normal tape... :V

No house without at-least one roll of duct-tape :eng101:
any tape should do, it's just to stop it falling apart.

My house burned and I haven't really needed tape yet, so not so sure about that.
Okay I found tape now I just have to wait for my dad to get home since he has the toolbox in the back of the bus.
The monitor has audio input and output. Connect your speakers to your monitor and play 360 sound through the HDMI port. Thats how i do it with my PS3 and 360.
Sound goes out via HDMI to the monitor, speakers connected to monitor to output the sound :P

Your family car is a bus?
OP i think your monitor actually has audio out from HDMI connections, if i remember right about ASUS tft's one of those audio jacks on the back is an audio out from the HDMI connection.
So get a mini jack to RCA adapter :eng101:

it isnt an asus, it's an Iiyama.
Seeing as your monitor seems to have an audio input, it probably has an output too. Get one of these and voila.

Disregard what said above
Get one of those screwdrivers and crack up the AV cable is the cheapest, and I did it already.
And it works just like I wanted it to.

You can't with the regular stereo output you have. You'd basically need something that rips the 5.1 audio off the HDMI and feeds it to separate cinch plugs for your speakers. Or you could just use their stereo input and have interpolated surround.

Or that.
Consoles should have a cluster of A/V Conenctions like media extenders do...
.. That way problems like this would never occur :)

Like they'd ever do anything like, damn locked down environments.

The PS3 doesn't have this problem, you can use every connection at once.
Microsoft sells a separate addon for HDMI where the a/v connector is just audio, and smaller, for room for the HDMI port.
Comes with it's own HDMI cable and costs money, which isn't cool.
