well I replaced my explorer.exe through ubuntu, and while I was at it, when I was first given the computer from my uncle he spelt my name wrong. When I started windows it said preparing your desktop, freaked out, I went into ubunut and changed the came back to normal, then I started windows again to find nothing. I click my username, and nothing. then I retart to find that Starting Windows... wouldn't finish, thne I retarted and ran startup repair and its been running for almost a solid hour
wtf? any quick fix?
You can't just rename the user folder, it doesn't change shit. If you bothered to check the Users area in control panel, you would find an option to change it. You probably fucked it up pretty bad.
I'd rename it back to how it was mispelt. Then go to Control Panel and click "change user name"
It's probably indexed for looking in "C:\users\Hadyen\"
Not C:\users\Hayden (example)
