Well I've been stuck with this crappy 7 year old dell PC that doesn't work very well, and now finally I am granted a new PC, which me and my friend are composing. He's a huge nerd, so I believe he knows what's right and wrong and he says this build will work and that it is great. So does my technical father.
But I want to know if 500W is sufficient, from which I have heard both yes and no.

that is a fucking terrible build and yes 500W will power it
what's your budget, do you have an OS/peripherals and what is your main purpose so we can put something together that isn't a complete waste of money

Thing is I really don't want to order anything from the US, which I probably should have mentioned... the shipment cost would be like half of the computer
