The Recomendation Thread - General

Thought I would do this just to share things I like, the idea of the thread is for you to write a short review about a game/tv show/band/musician/film If you are going to be doing a review of more than one type, e.g. game and band I would recomend making it clear by having a section for each. Annother helpfull idea, include a rating out of 10 so, I'l start. If the thing you are going to review is nsfw, write it next to the name. [B]TV Shows[/B] [B]Onegai Teacher 8/10[/B] Onegai Teacher is about the adventures of a bay named Ken Kusanagi who suffers from a rare diseases where he enters a coma when he is put under to much stress. While out one night he discovers an alien space ship that has landed in th lake near his house. After seeing the alien he runs home to bed. Only to find out the next moring that the alien is his new teacher. A fun anime to watch, has its serious moments, but most of the time is just enjoyable. Wiki: [url]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Please_Teacher[/url]! [B]Onegai Twins[/B] [B]9/10[/B] Onegai Twins takes place in the same fictional universe as Onegai Teacher. It is about how an orphaned teen living on his own making money as a programmer who is sudenly introduced to 2 girls who both claim to be his twin sister. All 3 posses a photo of a boy and a girl playing in a pool, bot none knows who the real twin is! An amusing take on teen life. [B]Games[/B] [B]Splinter Cell: Conviction 8/10[/B] You play as spy Sam Fisher, working against your former employers Third Echelon to uncover the truth about your daughter's death, as well as a sinister plot against the United States. Makes far more extensive use of action elements than its predecessors, making the gameplay more varied and adaptable. I enjoyed it. The action worked well, the stealth is great as always and the story was pretty gripping. The one major complaint would be the length. I breezed through it on normal in about 6 hours. Haven't tried the multiplayer yet. [B]Miscellaneous[/B] [B]This Thread 5/10[/B] A thread made so people can rate and recommend things to each other. Smart enough idea, but can't help but think it'd be better if each category was put into an appropriate sub-forum (if there isn't already a similar thread there). Not a bad effort though.

[b]TV Shows[/b] [b]BattleStar Galactica - 8/10[/b] (re-imagined series, not the original) Probably one of the most realistic space warfare movie or TV show I've ever seen. After the Cylons, a race of robots originally created by man as servants who rebelled against their masters, wipe out the 12 Colonies, killing billions. The last remaining Battlestar (sort of a space aircraft carrier), Galactica and hundreds of civilian vessels leave the solar system, in search of peace. Hunted relentlessly by the Cylons they must overcome many hurdles in an attempt to survive.
