• Possible to rip sound from an MKV and apply a filter to it?

I have an MKV file, Volkerball, and I need to rip a few songs from it. (Songs that are great live, but were made back in the 90's, like Sehnsucht, and Feuer Frei) But, since I play them in VLC, it has a certain equalizer, full bass and treble, which make the songs more clear/better sounding. So, is there a way I can rip the music, then keep the equalizer on it?
Since VLC uses its own equalizer, you'd have to capture the sound with Stereo Mix.
You can convert the sound to a .wav with mediacoder and then add the effect with audacity or some other audio editor.
VLC has wonderful transcoding features. I imagine this captures the equalizer settings as well. Only good thing about VLC. ;)
