When I went on to the control panel today, it did this. I called linksys up, and they told me I had to pay $50 to get this fixed, I asked them if I need to send it in, and they said no, so I wanted to know if Facepunch had a fix that would be free.

If you're using Firefox and have the Noscript extension, allow javascript.
$50 to tell you to use a different browser?
Using chrome, and it does that on all browsers.
Install DD-WRT custom firmware, it's much more powerful than the default firmware.

He can't flash it if he can't get to the upgrade page.
Try the reset switch on the back. (I think holding it down for a while does a total reset which restores it to factory default)

I even did that.
30 seconds. Hold it down for 30 seconds.

I found instructions for an even harder reset:
1. Disconnect the router from UTP cables (not the power cable).
2. Push reset button for 30 secs.
3. Without releasing reset button, disconnect power cord.
4. Hold the reset button for another 30 secs.
5. Replug the power cord.
6. Still hold the reset button for another 30 secs.
7. Release the reset button and give the router about 10 secs to resettle.
8. Disconnect power cord for another 10 secs and then reconnect.
9. All should be in default settings now.
Not sure what it does differently, but try it.
Try on another computer?

How do you do that?
I have the same router and it'll do this to me from time to time. You can only unplug it and keep resetting it till it works. Can you still access the internet?
