What's the Performance Drop from Using ClearType Text

I'm on xp and I've always had text on "standard" I decided to switch it to "cleartype" and I'm not really sure if I like it more. Is there a performance drop if you use cleartype? What's the price to pay?

I doubt that there is. I don't see why there would be.

Disable it for a while, then enable it again. That's the best way to see if there is any.

On a fairly modern computer, too small to notice. But personally I like standard. I don't like Cleartype because it seems "out of focus" to me.
