The woman said the past few years have been very trying for her family. She said she is going through a messy divorce and has had to move several times.
She said after she was seated at the restaurant, she saw a man seated alone in a nearby booth. She said she apologized for how loud her children were going to be and asked him to forgive them.
The man told her he understood and has three children of his own, she said.
The mother said she went on with her meal and tried to keep her children to behave. One of them is living with Asperger’s and ADHD, she said.
After the man left, the woman said the restaurant’s staff came over and gave her a surprise he left her. He paid the family’s bill and left them with a Pizza Hut gift card.
He also left her a three page letter that she said made her cry.
It reads:
“I do not know your back story, but I have had the privilege of watching you parent your children for the past 30 minutes. I have to say thank you for parenting your children in such a loving manner.
I have watched you teach your children about the importance of respect, education, proper manners, communication, self control, and kindness all while being very patient. I will never cross your path again but am positive that you and your children have amazing futures.
Keep up the good work and when it starts to get tough do not forget that others may be watching and will need the encouragement of seeing a good family being raised. God bless! -Jake”
With all of the attacks on single parents this is refreshing.
Awwh.. PizzaHut bro ;-;
The fact that random acts of kindness are considered news says something about the world we live in.
Free pizza, sweet.
If she was in pizza hut, she couldn't be doing that bad for money. Pizza hut is not cheap. Still, what a nice guy, i do agree we need more people like that in the world.

It says that nice stories are occasionally deemed profitable.

Every pizza place is
ALso I thought the letter said "I have had the privilege of watching your family grow for 30 years"
"I will never cross your path again"
how mysterious
One time there was a wait for my food in McDonald's so I got a free burger but I guess this tops that.
Random acts of kindness shouldn't be uncommon.

They aren't, a helluva lot more goes on in the world than the media puts in the papers.
very trying emotionally and stress, Going through a divorce is one thing, going through one with three kids is another, going through one with three kids where some of them have some mental issues is really bad.
stupid onions

It's okay man, you'll get a free pizza someday!
I think the best part is that he wrote a little letter, that is a little touching in its own right.
