• [~300 Euro] What video card to upgrade (or get 2nd one) or is fault somewhere else?

Hey, so it's been around 2 years since I've refreshed my build. The current specs are: CPU is overclocked to 4.5 Though, not sure why it says 3.5 but anyway: I was retarded enough to install Windows 10 in RAID0 configuration (curiosity) wanted to see what it's like on two SSD's so as a result - two SSD's are currently being used by Windows 10 and some other crap (110GB+110GB). I am planning to rebuild PC fully and reinstall OS but at the mean time - I would also like to install something that would improve performance. Currently a bit struggling to modern/latest games at solid 144fps so something is holding me back. Is it possible to get decent video card that's better than 970 for ~300 Eur? Or perhaps (if possible) sell my current 970 for 150 Eur so total of 450 Eur for new video card? I havent really been following the latest video cards so I've fallen behind a bit. Any suggestions? Maybe I am being stupid and problem isnt video card?
If there's any good sales on Black Friday, you could get a 1070 for a little above 300, otherwise go with a 1060. I have one and I love it.

i would suggest an rx 480 since they're pretty cheap and do quite the nice performance (im speaking from experience) and they cost only around 200-300€ too its not a massive upgrade but its still quite nice if you ask me

The problem with my motherboard is as it turns out - it only supports Crossfire, no SLI. I could probably stretch a budget a bit if that would mean performance increase like day and night.
is black friday even a thing in ireland

o well in any case 2 rx 480s allegedly can come close to a 1080 in performance but i dont remember the source for that so dont quote me on this if you get the sapphire rx 480 nitro it'd cost around (at least from my german prices) around 260-290€ for one, but the rx 480 nitro in and of itself has 2 fans for better cooling and might be faster since its overclocked getting 2 sapphire rx 480s without a nitro would be 219€ per piece (again here in germany) which lowers the price considerably but overall i dont know the major differences between each variation of the sapphire builds and the stock one

I will look into it, thanks.
