I haven't seen it be posted here yet, sorry if it's late.
That face gives me the creeps.
The real important question is why aren't they doing animated movies.
Like at all?
So they've developed this amazing robot, yet couldn't pick a less nightmare-ish face?
EDIT:
Maybe it's the contrast between its face and the robot body creating an eerie effect
It'll be in the news one day tearing a small child's arm out of its sockets and it'll just look back at the child with that horrible face shrugging its shoulders.

3d animation is still animation. Disney animation studios is still operating, Disney research is entirely separate. They just did a 2d film regardless, Winnie the Pooh.
today it's tennis balls
tomorrow it's grenades

It's a skeleton, and a prototype. Most of their existing animatronics have creepier skeletons actually.

God, Animatronics give me the damn creeps, especially those dinosaur ones at Disney World
Oh man oh man the uncanny valley is strong in this one.'

kinect
doing everything except what it was sold for since 2010
Multi million dollar company creates animatronics from scratch.
Uses kinect.

then the robots go out of control like the ones in scratchy land.
at the very end where the robot catches a ball that goes behind him. That scares me the most. They are learning :tinfoil:
"Where is Sarah Conner"
This is obviously going to be body that will carry Walt's brain.

Just look at that robot and try telling me that's not him
Robots that can juggle. What a wonderful future we are seeing.

"you think this is a fucking game? pick it up bitch."
Haha, microsoft need to acknowledge how Kinect is ACTUALLY being used, instead of "waggle to pet tiger" games

Such as releasing Kinect for Windows with an SDK that allows you to develop software that uses the Kinect?

well, they do own Marvel now, who knows :v:
Why did they have to give it the worlds creepiest robot face? seriously, look at that smug grin.
I really really hate it how today's robots are wired to a roomful of computers, and they are not "stand-alone" per se.
I mean fuck, who doesn't want I-Robot to happen?

They sort of already acknowledged that
Disney Research Pittsburgh???
:pwned:
Holy shit Pittsburgh?! Where is the address of this place I live in the downtown area.
Disney is also researching bipedal robots that can balance on balls and swarm robots that can change positions. I'm imagining disney is trying to create robot circus.
