I'll be building a new computer but I had to scrap the 5870 for now, so I'll either salvage the HD2400 (256mb) from this computer or use the Integrated HD4200 (128mb). Which one should I do? I'm hoping to sell this computer to some kid before getting the new computer, so help appreciated
4200 i can't even play garry's mod on 1680 x 1050 on the 2400. nothing dx9 will run correctly on the 2400. i launch source in dx8 with that card. 4200 will probably run cooler i guess.
4200
If you can live with DirectX 8, the 2400 will work better.
4200 has GDDR3 and system ram, and the 785G is great
Wait, why is everybody saying that hd2400 doesn't run dx9 games? Did i miss something? I thought that card had full dx10 support. As for performance, i don't know, maybe 2400 is better.
the x1000's were the last dx9s.
well, if you don't find a use for that 2400, I'll take it (cuz I'm fucking greedy and don't have much $) I still have an ATI x1300 :frown:
