Please correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it the developer's job to make their game compatible with the GPU, not the other way around?
It’s also not known at this point whether AMD – they behind the TressFX hair daftness – were given some sort of priority,
10 bucks says they were.
It's probaly some internal scheme to make NVIDIA look like crap
It's probaly some internal scheme to make NVIDIA look like crap
Nvidia do it with physX
Nvidia do it with physX
PhysX runs like crap on CPU. What do you expect from AMD? Even if they did offer AMD to intergrate it, I think they would consider it odd as it is the competetors technology.
My performance runs fine on this game with a 670?
My performance runs fine on this game with a 670?
a 670 is also (relatively) much newer than other nvidia cards that are in people's computers and much more of a gamer/enthusiast card than other nvidia cards so it's not really surprising
10 bucks says they were.
yeah lets ignore the hundeds of games that say "NVIDIA THE WAY IT'S MEANT TO BE PLAYED" and games with physx
The article reads as if Nvidia users only have problems if they run with the OSD enabled or use (what is clearly) AMD's little hair fx... The solution seems pretty simple to me?
10 bucks says they were.
No shit, pretty much every game I play has an three second unskippable Nvidia or AMD advert on start up, favouritism is hardly anything new.
Hope they fix it soon, I have a relatively old nVidia card and I'm planning to buy the game once the price drops.
Call me cynical but its kinda nice seeing this kinda thing throw back in nvidias face, considering they do this shit all the fucking time with games they forcefully ram themselves into with AMD hardware. Even if this case is unintentional.
GTX 670 runs it at max at 60 FPS with shadows turned down to high/very high (cant remember if it is ultra or very high that is max on it) Sure it's a newer card but can it be that much different on a 570?

Developers have their own job to make sure it's working correctly on a software level, but companies like Nvidia and AMD have to make sure their drivers are handling the game correctly on the hardware.
I played this on a 450 GTS and it ran just fine
Runs fine on my 580. Hiccups here and there with super closeups of the new hair but nothing to get upset about really
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it the developer's job to make their game compatible with the GPU, not the other way around?
In an ideal world it's both the developer and the GPU manufacturer's job to make their products compatible with the API. Which would mean we could just blame Microsoft and be done with it.

Runs fine on my 2 x GTX 670 SLI setup...
Obviously it's faster but a 570 is still a good card, surely it can't run the game that bad?
570 is a good card, but it is 3 years old. Given that's just released I'm sure some optimizations will happen from both parties.
runs fine on my 4x geforce titants wtf are u people complainging about?
Runs fine on my 680GTX. It really depends on your whole H/W configuration as I'm sure others out there with a 680 would be experiencing issues.
