Just in. Best source I have: http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/eventpage/us200081v8#executive Potential tsunami hazard throughout Pacific Ocean according to JMA.
thats not good
I can't see any news, but are there any reports of a tsunami hitting? That depth and magnitude are insane.
thats not good
tell us more
tell us more
it's less than ideal
No tsunami hit [source], but I will re-iterate just how insanely lucky they are given the combination of depth and magnitude; that was a very high energy quake.
