They weren't exactly specific about how playable the character would be. Technically in Witcher 2 there up to 5 or so "playable" characters.
If you count the extra campaigns as "playable" (which you should) then it could almost literally be anybody in TW3.

I'm not trying to be all progressive and shit I just think that playing as a giant fucking skeleton dude would be a lot cooler than playing as just some regular dude for the same reason as people who want a playable ghoul race in the fallout games

I'm sorry Egevened - there's two reasons why I didn't stick names on any of the candidates:
#1 - I've hardly even played The Witcher; I got stuck in the swamp bit in the start of the original. I know, that's blasphemous words right there, but I have such a huge backlog with my RPGs it's not even funny. I'm going to play it, eventually - my goal is to play the first two games before three comes out.
#2 - Due to #1, I didn't want to look up names in fear of spoilers. People who've played the games will already know who those characters are; as you aptly proved yourself. Those who haven't - like myself - aren't missing out.
I hope that will suffice as a horrible excuse :P

They're somewhat right though, there's artifacting in the video and the quality is really erratic, it doesn't look sharp even on 1080p which makes it even harder to gauge how good the graphics are
The top down shot of the grass near the end is probably the worst offender for most, but grass in videogames isn't designed to be viewed from above, the other shots look fine, for example the texture quality on the clothes looks great in the shot immediately after

You'd have a point if the idea didn't completely work against the point of The Witcher series.
It's supposed to be Geralt's story hence the title of the game. Playing as Wild Hunt would essentially ruin the game via plot spoilers since they're a big mysterious force.
We're probably playing as Ynnefer in which case we get magics galore.
They did say this game was the last chapter of Geralts story so playing as Ciri would make sense if they plan on doing future games.
