I found this page through Bengley's mum, as I still have her on facebook from when she argued with me because I invited her to Raoul Moats birthday party.
This page is just gagging for an argument, and after looking through it I must say, it's very surprising how single minded some people can be- they talk about allowing people to believe in what they want, and they're messaging christian groups and telling them God is a lie.
Defending Christianity on a predominantly Athiest forum.
Mistake.
It's called freedom of speech, it's not really the biggest problem the world is facing currently.

sort of?
You better call the police or something for their crime against humanity
Should make a group that has a wider appeal.
"Let hate _______ because _______."
A lot of people would join that group.
They're not oppressing anyone,They're just spreading the truth that 'There is no god'
There are tons of different facebook groups with different opinions made by different people
Getting worked up over one group just because you disagree with them is silly. just don't join the group

Problem is though, no one will ever be able to prove or disprove this, ever. Forever. Even after everyone dies.
Maybe there is a god, maybe there isn't. It's not even a point of debate because it's impossible to prove or discredit.

Saying arrogant things like that is a good way to get people to immediately dismiss anything else you may say.
The title of this thread is wrong in so many ways. You've created a strawman argument; the page says nothing like the title.
Regardless, PLENTY of religious pages exist saying stuff like, "JESUS IS THE SAVIOUR!" and crap like that and I don't see agnostics and atheists going around bitching about it.
Some people have simply taken an objective view on the universe, seen no conclusive evidence for the existence of some wizard with narcissistic personality disorder, and have decided to enlighten people onto their view of the universe - just as some people have taken the opposite stance. Deal with it, motherfucker.

Well then there's people on both sides of the fence being immature about the whole thing. If you have the right to bitch, then so do they.
Also, there's a difference between "enlightening" and UR ALL DUMB FORE BELEAVING THIS SHIT HOW CAN YOU EVEN THINK THAT THIS THING EXISTS I MEAN SCIENCE.
Now, I'm also never going to say that the Christian side of it is pure, because we get the dumbest fucktards out there who learn a little bit about our faith and start spewing nonsense to everyone. I really hate those people, because they are part of the reason why our religion gets a shitty rep.

I don't want either to bitch, but the world is full of idiots. If we didn't have idiots in the world, we'd still have most religions (including atheism), but we wouldn't bicker and bitch about it all the time.
You Christians are so self-righteous, seriously. When you posted this thread what argument did you expect us to take? The "yeah well its ok that some people need additional guidance from a 2000 yr old book" stance?
no
Fuck religion

Sorry, while it's true that we can't really disprove god, we (at least most of us) don't go around saying that eating an Apple in full moonlight will cure cancer. No one can disprove that, because if they try it and it doesn't work, I can just say "The Moonlight doesn't always cure cancer". You can again and again show that it doesn't, but I can keep saying that. Like with god, there's nothing supporting it, and some considerable evidence pointing against it, but as long as how god thinks and works is mysterical and abstract, you can't really close out the possibility that he could be out there somewhere floating naked around on a sky. The flying spaghetti monster is as logical and probable as god.
Anyhow, I don't go around calling people idiots because they believe in god, and pretty much my whole family believes in god, without them going to church and such, though.

Your "Eating an apple in the moonlight cures cancer" analogy involves expecting a result for believing in the analogy. Believing that God exists, on the other hand, does not involve expecting a result. Your analogy is stupid and invalid.
Dumbass people, HEY WERE BETTER THAN EVERYONE ELSE, WE ARE A HIGHER FORM OF INTELLIGENCE BECAUSE WE DON'T BELIEVE IN ANYTHING !
There is also a load of cats floating around in a distant universe dictating how we live and makes us worship cats here on Earth..... nothing disproving it so don't tell me I'm wrong, space cats work in mysterious ways...

Jesus is supposed to have made some miracles using god's powers, and in my analogy moonlight is supposed to cure cancer. People (sometimes) claim that Jesus' powers is definite proof of god's existence, and I'm still awaiting the proof of that Jesus had these powers, the same way that I'm awaiting the cure of cancer from moonlight. You could use judgement day as well, and that'll be proof of god as well. Most christians expect heaven or hell as well, that's some kind of a result. I also don't question the powers of moonlight, but it curing cancer would be proof of it. I don't really see your point.
