Loot 2.0 sounds fucking dumb, I don't really know if I'm reading this right but are they trying to restrict people from trading at all? The auction house should have never been in the game in the first place and you should be able to go into servers just to trade similar to Diablo 2 how people hosted servers just to trade.
Fuck I was reading about this a while ago and sae they were getting rid of auction house and allowing players to just make a freeroam esque by letting you use waypoints to go across all acts / zones, and thought this was going to be a good xpac. Just reading loot 2.0 made me instantly take back all thought of that. What a load of shit. Trading was one of the biggest parts of Diablo 2, and now they have all but removed it.
Ive had the luxury of playing the Beta and i have to admit although the Auction House is complete BS, there is virtually NO trading in addition they have really done a number on some of the classes including DH. Luckily im a Barbarian, so i wasn't hit that bad. They also kinda ruined the original loot runs.

Personally I don't even trade with people I'm not actively playing with so that change doesn't even affect me. Everything I've heard so far about RoS makes me excited to go back. Hopefully the combination of Loot 2.0 and Adventure Mode gives the game as much legs as Diablo 2 had.

They wan't you to collect items, rather then grinding gold by auctioning/buying everything. If the keep the trading down, they can greatly increase the drop-rate without fucking any kind of market.
Diablo 2 trading was fun and personal. But that only worked with separate servers and stuff, and I don't remember if Diablo 3 had that.
FYI it hasn't been in closed beta but Friends and Family Alpha where they also sent out invites to Big streamers and some of the players with the most play time. Today the actual closed beta started and invites were sent out 7 hours ago for RoS. For those of you who didn't get an invite the Loot 2.0 PTR just went up as well, so before bitching about how it'll be shit why not actually download the PTR and play it for yourself to find out.
Personally, i never played with anybody anyway, in any of the Diablo games, so i don't really care about trading restriction, stupid as it may be. Still super stoked for this.

I wish I knew why
Yet it's STILL always online. I wish I knew why
Just go look at the state of the console version to see why. Every other character is hacked out the ass since saves are stored locally on the system.
This is so pathetic its totally amusing
Auction House gone: Fantastic, long overdue. Effectively no trading allowed: what the fuck
Oh great, trading has been shot in the kneecaps. Fabulous, even less of a chance to get decent gear.
Auction House gone: Fantastic, long overdue. Effectively no trading allowed: what the fuck
Diablo community in a nutshell. [editline]13th December 2013[/editline]
Oh great, trading has been shot in the kneecaps. Fabulous, even less of a chance to get decent gear.
ffs, play the PTR with 2.0.1 patch. Took me about 20min to get any possible gear to change my current one. And my current gear was strong enough to cakewalk a MP2.
