I cant believe what my friend is doing? - General

Howdy folks, long time lurker here on Facepunch Studios. I met a friend of mine on a night out recently and it turns out he just graduated with a law degree and now wants to join the army! I was like "what the fuck? - you spent 4 years paying college fees, accommodation and studied your balls off and for what?". [b]Is it just me or does he come across as a bit crazy?[/b] P/s: I didn't say this to the guys face, I obviously wished him the best of luck. What would you rather? I guess it really depends on what he does. But why would he pay for law college? Are you sure he didn't go to a military school to become an officer?

Who cares? Maybe he wants some excitement or to serve his country. You should be calling him brave, not stupid.

Support him, it isn't like the army is a terrible thing to join.

Not only that but it's not like when you join the Army you're instantly stuck into infantry. He could be a Lawyer for the Courts. (See the movie "A Few good Men") He's probably making a really good move toward his career, and you should support it fully.
