• How to change DNS in chromebook?

I apologize if this is in the wrong section, but I have no idea where else to ask this. How does one change their DNS settings in a chromebook? It does not display on a list of other connection settings, such as the IP address and such. Googleing revealed that apparently it is possible to do via the terminal, but not a single source mentions how, most unhelpfully.
looks to me as though changing the options in the browser will affect the OS: http://support.verizonwireless.com/clc/devices/knowledge_base.html?id=38507

I'd imagine that's Google's way of locking you in to use their DNS servers. You could try changing the DNS settings in your router but beyond that you might not be in luck

Pinging something via IP works, but not via the URL, so I assumed it was a DNS issue. Sadly, the router cannot be accessed.
I'm not sure if this works on Chromebooks, but try entering chrome://flags/ into the address bar. There may be a setting in there that allows you to change DNS. Also Chromebook is based off the Linux kernel, so there may be some chance that certain DNS changing guides for Linux may work
Well the person I needed to help with this just decided to leech off their neighbor's wifi until their ISP gets around to fixing the issue, so I'll mark this thread as solved I guess?
It's probably the best solution, it doesn't seem there's a way to do it from what I've read on the Internet. I never really saw the interest in Chromebooks
