I love this movie.
"Malcovich. Malcovich? Malcovich. MALCOVICH?"
The greatest thing about this movie is the scene where Malkovich gets hit with the beer can wasn't actually scripted - it really happened and that's JM's real reaction.
One of my favourite movies of all time. Very original, really.
Besides John Malkovich is one of those actors you have to watch, regardless of being interested in the movie itself or not.
Fantastic film. Though I like Adaptation more, if you haven't seen it, I urge you to. Same writer, director, and the Malkovich Malkovich dinner scene, among others, appears in this film, in a behind the scenes kind of way.
Loved this, haven't seen Adaption though, shall stick it on the big to watch list.
did i mention it stars Nicolas Cage as the writer of both films, and his twin brother, who doesn't really exist, but has the films writing accredited to, and it's about him writing the film you're watching while you watch him write it and i'm stopping here because it's too confusing to describe
but i'm hoping it's bumped up a bit on your to watch list now
Sounds fun.
This film was so WEIRD AAAAAA
It was brilliant, absolutely fantastic, but I'm still not sure quite what to make of it. So bizarre. Adaptation looks very interesting so far, I'll check it out.
Synecdoche, New York is 20 times weirder than Being John Malkovich.

I bought this one, too. I'll watch it as soon as it arrives and probably make a thread about it.
I've come to expect stuff like this from Charlie Kaufman.
If you liked it, I suggest checking out Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
I saw this movie when I was like 14 or 15 or something at like 2AM in the morning and it finished at like 4AM.
I was so fucking confused by the end of that movie. I'm not sure if it was because of me being extremely tired, the movie itself, or a combination of the two.
You should probably watch it again, definitely worth it
