Tourists staying at a Los Angeles hotel bathed, brushed teeth and drank with water from a tank in which a young woman's body was likely decomposing for more than two weeks, police said.

"The shower was awful," she said. "When you turned the tap on, the water was coming black first for two seconds and then it was going back to normal."

It was not clear whether the water presented any health risks. Results on tests on the water done Wednesday by the Los Angeles Public Health Department were expected later in the day.
Imagine how they felt after finding out they were showering in decomposing flesh
Typical LA
oh god, this is even worse than the dead body in a public pool.

Less bad than they felt after finding out they were drinking it, probably.
I cringed.
I'm paranoid from time to time that if I turn on the tap bloody water or sewage would start pouring out. This is like the worst nightmare for me.
Oh man if I found out I was drinking water in which a woman's body was decomposing in, I'd throw up.
Jesus Christ that's terrible.
Imagine that...shit that's make me vomit
Oh my god.
I can't imagine my reaction if I found out that I'd been using that water.
I hope they find out what happened to her. Apparently her death is being considered suspicious.
how awkward
At least it didn't get in their beef lasagna.

Stop horsing around with this, this is serious!

The thumbnail even fits
"I'm suing you for $1000000 in damages because I drank water that a dead person was floating in that was not secure and oh god I'm having trouble sleeping and the PTSD therapy is horrible."
....or expect something along those lines in the near future as the hotel gets the book of law stuffed up their ass.
this has been the only thing on the internet to actually make me feel sick
I would sue, and I hope the hotel goes after whoever put the body in the water supply. This is like something from a movie.
hope that Hotel pays big fees after all the lawsuits
Ugh thats disgusting. article says the death is being treated as suspicious- what kind of moron dumps a body in a drinking water reserve?, i thought the idea was to ensure the corpse wasnt found.

Maybe they thought it was a boiler or something?
Regardless, I'd want, at the very least, a strong drink if I was affected by this.

I don't think I'd stop drinking for a long while. Shit's fucked up. Having brushed your teeth with the water and drank it... Christ. Just the knowledge that I had unknowingly consumed decomposing human flesh would be enough to set me off of life for a long while.

I guess at the very least alcohol kills most bacteria and stuff. Well, that's what I'd tell myself...

Typical americans wanting to sue everybody and everything. None of the guests have gotten sick as of yet but now they're all gonna pretend to be sick and emotionally traumatized.
Also, the hotel can't really be responsible for somebody else dumping a body in their water tank. As for the water quality, it's actually pretty hard to pin point the source of the problem and more often than not, it's usually from the city source and not your own tank.

Uhh maybe someone is traumatized? Drinking and brushing your teeth with water containing a large amount of decomposing human flesh is fucking twisted and I don't even know what I would do if it happened to me. You'd think after someone's shower water came out black for a few seconds they'd report it and the hotel would be on that shit.

I would sure as hell feel sick after that. It didn't even happen to me and even I am starting to feel paranoid.
What wild night would lead you to ending up in an LA water tank

well they did let a decomposing woman rot in a water tank for weeks without noticing. If guests put in complaints about the water, and they didn't even bother to do anything about it, that's negligence.

Yeah, and as i said, it's pretty difficult to pin point the source of the problem. After getting the reports, they call the city water company, they say everything is fine.
Also, fyi, all drinking water is full of organic matter.
God, that's nasty.
Reminds me of an early episode of CSI that I remember where they found a body in a hotel water heater.

Yeah and the human body is perfectly fine organic matter but that doesn't mean people are okay with eating/ingesting it in any form.
Oh god, fuck that headline. Fuck that headline in the ass.
I'm gonna be sick if I keep thinking about it.
