Well that's a OC inspired by the 70/80's sci-fi.
Jokes aside, that is NOT how you come up with a backstory. An ancient villain obsessed with modern technology? It's like teaching a old dog new tricks.
So to freshen things up a genius, tech-centered villain with a robot army is being swapped out for a genius, tech-centered villain with a robot army?

Well look at the bright side, he has a nice design, and at least it's not an "edgy" character.
What kind of name is Lyric for a mechanical snake villain.

It's nice to see something that's not an extreme-edge mammal character. I'm also glad they didn't say "Let's give him arms and legs. He'll still be a snake; right?"

Let's be honest, if a bad guy came from a time that was really 700 years old then he couldn't figure out on how most stuff works when he wakes up in a modern time. But if he really knows what to do with advanced tech after a long sumber, then you got yourself a instant Gary Stu.
If he wasn't aware of hi-tech gadgets at first, there would be room for character development. Does anyone remember how the Deadly Six from SLW had to learn from Eggman after they lost to him? That's how they evolved as villains.
I learned the lesson about character development from someone in a HL2RP server. I just wished that they know what they're doing, but they just wrecked the train on this one.
