A top Russian law enforcement official has accused Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk of fighting alongside Chechen rebels and torturing and killing Russian soldiers during Moscow's bloody war with separatists in the 1990s. Aleksandr Bastrykin, the powerful head of Russia's Investigative Committee, made the assertions in an interview published on September 8 on the website of the Russian government's official daily newspaper, Rossiiskaya Gazeta. Day by Day Putin starts turning into Kim Jong Un, as he becomes a quiet person that only start talking to either sound scary, demand something, or threaten someone and act like he's still a big man.
So the renewed peace talks are off to a good start I see... What is it with the Russian government anymore, they are all either brainless or bullies, there isn't even a hint of merit to this

But then The Soviet-Afghan War, and Glasnost (I THINK, I COULD BE VERY WRONG ON THIS.), caused financial strife, which eventually led to the fall of the Berlin Wall, and the end of Communist Russia. [editline]9th September 2015[/editline] I wonder if he thinks, deep down, he's some kind of modern Stalin?
I wonder if he thinks, deep down, he's some kind of modern Stalin?
Deep down? It's not even that subtle.
Probably Putin jacking it off to the glory days of "Mother Russia" I wonder if he thinks, deep down, he's some kind of modern Stalin?
do you realise how retarded that sounds? Putins a piece of shit but I mean really?
do you realise how retarded that sounds? Putins a piece of shit but I mean really?
Do you have a better reason? Only other logic besides that is he's a crazy self appointed Czar.
do you realise how retarded that sounds? Putins a piece of shit but I mean really?
It's not that retarded considering the number of Russians that sympathise with Stalin.
They're probably testing the waters to see how much bullshit the average Russian will lap up.
True, like the great reader to the south, 98% of what he says is directed to his supporters in Russia I honestly hope the state oil companies go bankrupt and this croney gets evicted from the Kremlin, short of that people will keep voting and he will keep winning by large margins
It's funny that top official that made claim is Aleksandr Bastrykin, yet first three posts bash on Putin. This is kinda of ludacris magnetism - hey guys, not everything in russian goverment is Putin, there are many other political players, and it's mistake to discount them.
Putins probably done some torture though.. considering his professions.

You guys have a pretty naive view of Russia, don't you, like we have this big bad dictator who usurped power and controls everything. Yeah, as if that's even possible in a country controlled almost entirely by a committee of obscenely rich assholes, corporate representatives and top chiefs of army and police (locally just referred to as "силовики"). If he wasn't liked by this elite, if he wouldn't listen for every single word they say - he wouldn't be a president. Fact of the matter is, Putin is a media personality placed there for some to hate, for others to admire. Not much unlike many other political leaders. Hence why it's irrelevant what Putin thinks, if he imagines himself a Stalin or someone else, or if he thinks at all. He's a better version of Medvedev, and by that I mean he's more life-like. If he said something - it means someone has something to gain from it. Besides, in this particular instance, it is indeed true that Putin has nothing to do with it. It's Bastrykin, who, while being pretty high up in an important office, is an idiot and his words are empty and intended for internal consumption. [editline]9th September 2015[/editline]
Putins probably done some torture though.. considering his professions.
Pfft, his profession is a two-bit "spy" who spent all his carrier being small-time embassy worker. After that he was an assistant official in St. Petersburg's local government. Again, absolutely no one of any importance. It amazes me how much foreigners take Putin's made-up "badassery" seriously. You'd think people will be more critical of this. He was a nobody before suddenly becoming prime-minister and then president. Even then he was, - according to some rumours and documents here and there, - pretty corrupt nobody.
Just goes to show how powerful a propaganda outlet Radio Free Europe still is.
I guess it shows more that propaganda that is soo fabled to work on Russian people kinda works both ways abroad too. And only thing i'd like to Gudman words if such global acceptance of political stunt as acceptance of Putin as omnipotent embodiment of evil exist, then i don't think there is any difference in terms of unbias thinking between any modern nations at all - we all do fail for fake mythos and idols, just of different names and shapes. Wich is concerning and must be kept in mind when dealing with other people's opinion. to make it short - we all here as dumb as we expect other side to be.
this is some conspiracy nut bullshit ukraine is to blame for russias past problems

I think people (Westerners) like to secretly imagine Putin as a real-life Bond villain, a deep desire to have an opponent so bad that it's pretty clear-cut and leaves nothing to ambiguity. After the fall of the USSR there was a lot of uncertainty mixed up with the optimism and enthusiasm because nobody knew what the Russian state was going to be like and more importantly nobody knew who to fear and hate. Of course in recent years Russia's answered that pretty easy, but still, for a long while Russia wasn't seen as "the enemy" and people were getting used to peace. Maybe that's why Russians on here can't ever catch a break, the relatively recent events that were negatively received has been a sharp contrast against the whole "oh hey let's all cooperate and be friends now!" attitude.

People were against it, but nah, Stalin is great and all.

This is impossible. Yatsenuk is a Putin agent, how could he kill Russians?
This is impossible. Yatsenuk is a Putin agent, how could he kill Russians?
He is a double agent
He is a double agent
So he is working for both Putin and Putin?
So he is working for both Putin and Putin?
No, he is Putin in disguise.
He is a double agent
Codename: The Rabbit
So he is working for both Putin and Putin?
Hes Putin in disguise working for putin while working for putin. He has a plan to assassinate putin instead of putin under putins orders. What he doesnt know is poroshenko is putin in disguise sent by putin to kill putin before he could kill putin.

It's a collection of all the misconceptions about russian politics. Putin is not a bond villain yo, and the article isnt about him at all.
And how many people did the 'Russians' burn, maim, rape, torture, dismember and otherwise fuck over in their history? Seems pretty hypocritical.
