So in reality it was not hacked, the password was just figured out and they decided to go on it. That would be like saying I hacked a facebook account because someone stayed logged in and i decided to post troll statuses.

The actual definition of hacking is gaining unauthorized access to someone's account or computer, so yes, this is technically hacking.

You can use a dictionary attack, or you can guess it by hand. It's still hacking, in the broad sense - just like getting onto an unsecured FTP who nobody thinks you could access without knowing the address.
