A large group of Bernie Sanders supporters gathered at the CNN building on Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood Sunday to protest the cable channel’s coverage of the 2016 presidential election.

Sanders supporters organized online under the #OccupyCNN and #BernieBlackout hashtags.
Many protesters voiced concerns that candidates are not getting equal airtime on the cable channel.
Already better than BLM, they have the idea that protest AT the injustice.
Didn't realise Occupy was still a thing.
And CNN will just turn this into more fuel for their bias against Bernie and support for Hilary. And the public that watches them will just eat that shit up like they always have.
While I agree with their cause, I fear this will only hurt Bernie's movement even more.

It isn't. They're just trying to gain some relevance again.
Didn't realise Occupy was still a thing.
Occupy isn't necessarily an identifiable group, it's just a method of protest.
Like the Clinton News Network will care.
I was just at the one in Atlanta today and was about to call bullshit but then I saw it said California
Didn't realise Occupy was still a thing.
Most occupiers dissolved into an organisation called Occupy Democrats which was there belief that the democratic was the best choice to rid this shit (which news flash it isnt but they mostly backed Elizabeth Warren and other senators/congress people who supported their cause on the dem side), when Sanders came big they threw their support with him but pledged they'd support Clinton if she won the DNC ticket
its mostly something that never left California and New York

About the only thing I believe in anymore is the unfathomable stupidity of mankind.
Especially Americans.
Trump 2016

It's always been looming in the backs of peoples heads, especially those who support sanders (breaking up big banks, redistribution of wealth, criminal justice reform, etc)
Didn't realise Occupy was still a thing.
I thought it was done fairly quickly, but then it's been awhile since it occupied my attention
Bernie gets plenty of attention considering he's not the frontrunner. The only two who get more airtime are trump and Hilary, and that makes sense considering they are likely to get the nomination
Didn't realise Occupy was still a thing.
It isn't, really.
The rally cry of "What do we want?" "WE DONT KNOW!" "When do we want it?" "NOW!!!" Doesn't really achieve much.
More and more bernie bros are devolving into conspiracy theory. I think they ought to take a step back and compare and contrast themselves to Ron Paul supporters in 2008 and 2012

It's clear now that neither Hillary nor Trump will be getting the nomination.

Contrast: bernie has a chance of being president, ron never did

How do you figure that, considering both Clinton and Trump are ahead in their races with reasonably good odds in the upcoming contests.

Pundits agree that trump won't hit the magic number, and the gap between clinton and sanders is closing quickly than anybody expected. Sanders will beat cruz in the general, in my prediction at least
I mean he's a much more serious candidate but let's be clear, barring something extreme/unforeseen/unlikely, he doesn't have a shot at the Democratic nomination anymore, let alone the presidency
He'd have to sweep New York, Pennsylvania, and California among other states (and he's really only a contender in NY)
He's not a contender in California? Oh, I must be looking at the wrong california.
hey I mean I understand optimism but you must be
Behind by 10 points with how long to go? why are you calling it now? Haven't you seen how badly polls can misrepresent actual voter turnout?

You're the same type of person that said that bernie wouldnt make it this far in the first place.
Look what happened

He'd have to win by huge margins in the remaining states and then somehow get the super delegates to change their mind. I love Bernie as much as the next dude but something catastrophic or controversial would have to happen to clinton in order for Bernie to do that.

The only answer I have to this is we'll see. To say that the election is already decided is unnecessarily defeatist.
[editline]4th April 2016[/editline]
Also if the superdelegates dont switch if bernie gets a majority then expect a country wide backlash that would make the occupy protests look tame in comparison.

Doubt it. Most people are apolitical, and most political people are old. I think if bernie sanders loses in that scenario it would be a footnote on the 10 o'clock news
no, I said his chances were shot after the first Super Tuesday (even before that if you want to be cynical, his entire campaign strategy was banked on him taking early voting states NV, NH, IA away from Hillary and he couldn't pull it off outside New England, even in a state he campaigned much, much more in [IA])
In other words you did exactly what i said you probably did.
Congratulations i guess??
Also occupy was tame; nothing got done and people just hung out in a park for a few weeks because it was the cool thing to do at the time
It's clear now that neither Hillary nor Trump will be getting the nomination.
Do you happen to live on the planet earth? I'm actually baffled by how you think that it's clear neither of them will win when all of the contrary evidence says otherwise.
Like the chances of Hillary and Trump /both/ losing the nomination are extremely low.
Doubt it. Most people are apolitical, and most political people are old. I think if bernie sanders loses in that scenario it would be a footnote on the 10 o'clock news
I wouldnt be so sure. A lot of people are already unhappy with how little say the average voter has in politics. Such a move would completely validate those beliefs.
I'm not so sure this protest makes sense. Okay, for Occupy Wall Street you're protesting the government and big business as a whole so it makes sense. For something like, I don't know, Gamergate, at least initially you're protesting people outright lying in journalism. Is a private organization simply not talking about the guy you like grounds for protest?

Clinton got a large lead in southern states, you know the ones unlikely to actually vote Democrat in the general election. That's nothing to write home about.
I wouldnt be so sure. A lot of people are already unhappy with how little say the average voter has in politics. Such a move would completely validate those beliefs.
Most people simply don't care. This is a fact that transcends borders: most people don't give a fuck about politics. In fact, the democratic race, despite having such an energizing candidate like sanders, is turning out record lows because of how little most people care.
Nobody cares
