So no more plastic? Awesome, now they just need to work on their UI.
This will be a welcome change to their long string of cheap-feeling handsets. The iPhone 5S is expensive but definitely feels absolutely solid. Having said that, I have a Lumia 1020 and the polycarb body is really nice IMO.

Good ol' Samshit and their Touchwiz clusterfuck
Tizen will be just as bad, but without android
"The back is still a plastic cover and it doesn't do enough to compete with the look and feel of the HTC One, for instance," said Francisco Jeronimo
That being said, I really don't see the point in this. Still largely plastic, and smaller. The only way this'd make sense was if it was fairly cheaper than the S5, but since it does have some new metal in the frame, I doubt it will be.
I never had anything against weight at all. I'd love full metal phones.
Although I reckon that is rather a matter of production cost.
I don't mind metal cases, as well as high quality plastic ones. As long as it doesn't raise price a lot, I'm ok with that.
Anyway - Apple lawyers are getting ready to sue them;)
720p display and a 1,860mAh battery
into the trash it goes
I'd like to remind you that Sony makes really good metal framed and waterproof phones nowadays.
Check out the Xperia Z1 compact and the Xperia Z2.
They also do not have bloated OSes.

4.7" 720p display I can forgive
1,860mAh battery and no MicroSD slot? what the FUCK are you doing, Samsung?
I don't even mind the current plastic cases
I see nothing wrong with them
I never ever drop or break my phones, so I really don't have a need for a metal case
Seriously, I don't get how people manage to crack their screens

Many people like a more proper feel on their expensive piece of technology.

Yeah I didn't say anything was wrong with that
I'm just saying I'm ok right now, and I'm ok with this change as well
