Really happy i bought a ASUS Geforce GTX 660 and it should come to day. My current and soon to be old video card is an NVIDIA geforce gts 8800 which always makes problems and cant really keep up with the new video games graphics.
Does anyone how good the gtx 660 is? Just want to know and just wanted to post my happiness :D
won't matter if your cpu is shitty.
you could have a severe bottleneck.
can your PSU even handle it?
i have a 660, though i have the EVGA version of it. pretty good, never had issues. but agreed, you should make sure you can use it. it can top out at 225 watts. your 8800 only needed 105 watts and required a 400 watt psu minimum. you should have atleast a 650 watt psu for the 660.
I am pretty sure it can. My CPU is AMD FX4100 Quad Core Processor. Even through device manager only shows 2 cores. Not sure why but everything is still and always did ran smooth. I opened my computer and checked the power source. "Rated Watt" said 500W Is that how much watts ir produces? If not then what should i read to know? Ty
The 4100 is more like a dual core with a type of hyper threading. Still an alright chip.
Is there a brand name anywhere on the PSU?
If you can't tell, just post a picture of the PCs innards.

We need a brand name for the PSU, or post a pic of the inside label or something.
Getting a picture is too dark. And is upside down so is really hard to read from the label but heres my best try
(There were too texts that looked like they where brand name)
text 1: M/N RF-500WPS2
text 2: S/N 0E003383
and in big it says rocketfish probably manyfactor
