I just ordered the last of my computer parts! I'm really excited to get it built. -G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL -ASRock M3A785GXH/128M AM3 AMD 785G HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard -CORSAIR CMPSU-650TX 650W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply -Western Digital Caviar Green WD5000AADS 500GB SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Hard Drive -Bare Drive -XFX Radeon HD 5750 gpu -AMD Athlon II Quad-Core cpu Decent build, a HUGE upgrade from my last computer so don't bash it if yours is better.. :) But, I had a few questions before I start to put it together.. 1) I have an ATA CD/DVD Burner in my computer now, will it work fine in my new computer or do I have to buy a whole new drive? 2) The network card is pretty damn old in my current computer. It's a Intel PRO/100 VE Network Connection and it runs at 100mb/s. I need a network card for school, so I'm thinking this isn't going to work. Any suggestions as to what I should get?
1) Yes, it should work fine. 2) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833166056 Also good build even though the hard drive is kinda slow.
I want to use the wired network at school, not the wireless. :) And is the hard drive slow to the point where I'm going to notice and get annoyed?
Kind of screwed up. Shoulda gotten an F3 (Slithersoul is right), 4870/5770, cheaper PSU, overpriced RAM (there are $85 ones on Newegg). I guess you can't complain since you are happy.
Your motherboard will have a built-in Ethernet port (or "network card" as you call it.) It is 100/1000Mbps.

And my current PC has it's own network card.

[editline]06:55PM[/editline] My build sucks also. Well from your old thread you said you got it for $600. If that included shipping and stuff, I guess you did not waste your money.
