• D key is dying

As the title says, my D key is starting to break, I have to hold down the key for maybe 3-4 seconds just to type anything with a D in it. I don't think it's a physical problem as the key pushes down like every other one. It's a bit of a hindrance for FPSs since I strafe a lot, so help would be appreciated.

Try a linux livecd to rule out software problems.

Have you ever spilled anything on the keyboard?
Have you ever spilled anything on the keyboard?
The only thing I have ever spilled on it were skittles.
1. Not sure where to check for a keyboard driver 2. Using a laptop 3. Will try soon
You can replace most laptop keyboards. It's even not as hard as it may sound. Usually you do something like this: Remove 2-3 screws on the backside (They should have a little keyboard symbol next to them), check for any tabs etc that keeps the keyboard down (older laptop keyboards has those), then you slide the keyboard down (away from the monitor) carefully, and remove the thin flat cord/cable which connects it to the motherboard. Just be careful removing the cord/cable so you don't rip it apart. Do not use any form of tools (like tongs) either. They generally aren't that hard to remove anyways, you shouldn't have to use force. If this doesn't fit your laptop, just google your make and model and "replacing keyboard" and I'm sure you'll find some tutorial. And you should be able to find a new keyboard on Ebay fairly easy, unless the laptop is extremely old.
