If I wanted to stream something like Smash bros through my Wii while still playing on my TV, how would I go about doing that?

Buy 3 of these and plug them in to split the yellow white and red connectors. Its that simple.

^doesn't have to be that specific one, you can buy these locally at most stores that sell A/V accessories and aren't much more expensive. Just make sure its 1 female to 2 male.
Minor note, since your splitting the signal strength in half, the picture may get darker. The capture card can probably compensate for this (or allows an brightness adjustment). Depending on the TV, it may or may not compensate (older CRT's usually don't).
