Who would have guessed it's a great port with native DS4 support and uses the lightbar, heh.
should be much cheaper as an apology for unity + the late release
A AC3 giftable copy for pre-order was enough for me, now my friend can experience it.

Can't comment on the port quality, But Unity had native support for the DS4 as well.
I heard this game was pretty mediocre, so it's the best Assassin's Creed game of 2014.

After playing this for a bit I can say that story department never lacks in AC games, but everything else is pretty much AC4 in Arctic, there's little innovation in gameplay regard but after not being able to experience Unity properly (it lags like fuck for me, cannot go more than 20 FPS right in the beginning) playing Rogue was refreshing.
Although, when playing as a Templar the view on the entire Templar/Assassin situation is so fucking biased its not even funny, they outright depict Assassins in the game as outlaws who should die in fire and never return. Then there's also (spoilery?) the poisonous gas shit which Templars always shout about being used against the populace while having no proof to support those claims, so yeah.

That's intentional. [sp]Once you become Templar, you see assassins as criminals and the bad guys as way to show how internally Shay has demonized them. Which actually brings in a good point. Are assassins the good guys or do you simply see them as good guys since you play as assassin?[/sp]

Yeah, I perfectly understand that it's intentional, but the way it was simply rubbed in your face like an after-shaving lotion was a bit abyssmal. [sp]Your explanation makes a bit less sense when you consider the fact that after his Assassin betrayal, he was still very confused and questioned a lot before finally digging in. Well, I guess considering the amount of story in this installation, it feels a bit forced but such short story can offer so much [/sp]
General spoilers of AC universe [sp]Interesting point is that Assassin and Templars are both glorified terrorist organizations which was implied multiple times in AC games. But in the end, Assassins try to gain freedom while Templars try to gain total control, and they clashed only when Templars rose their hand on Assassin Order starting back at AC1 (I do not follow lore before that so might be a bit of extended universe explanations for that in facebook games)
There's also the fact that the pieces of Eden both sides strive for have different reasons to be obtained by either - Templars want to use it as weapons of godly power to gain more influence and control whereas Assassins try to either use them against Templars or simply preserve them for the sake of history, so from my point of view Templars are the bad guys.
