I am going to buy an slr camera because the crappy digital cameras I currently have limit me in my photography. I would like to find a camera for under $500 with a financing option or payment plan. What would you guys recommend? If you have a good camera I could buy for you, I would greatly appreciate it.

Pentax K-X On Amazon, it is only $500. It normally goes for $650 and I recently ordered one off of amazon, it is a great camera for the price.
The real problem is I have no money whatsoever. The most I can afford is $40 a month on a payment plan.
as I said earlier, go down to this thread http://www.facepunch.com/threads/888650-the-quot-Which-camera-is-right-for-me-quot-Megathread and post your question in there, more people will be able to help you there.

Pinch some pennies. Make some nickels.
The Nikon D40 with 18 to 55mm lens under the cashback offer (£60 back from Nikon if bought before 31st Aug) will be about £270 to £280 once you have received the cashback. If there is a Jessops close by then I would suggest you visit and try out the different Digital camera suggested and see how they feel in the hand and how easy you find the menus and buttons to use.
