Stephenville, Texas (CNN)After eight days of testimony, the murder trial in the "American Sniper's" death has not answered the one question that still haunts the families of Chris Kyle and Chad Littlefield. Why were the two men killed while trying to help Eddie Ray Routh? There have been a series of confusing and incoherent explanations for Routh's motives the afternoon of February 2, 2013. We know Kyle sensed tension as he and Littlefield drove the former U.S. Marine to a gun range for an afternoon of bonding and helping Routh cope with what his family members believed was post-traumatic stress disorder. Kyle secretly texted Littlefield, sitting next to him in a pickup, to say Routh was "straight up nuts." Kyle's wife, Taya, "could tell something was up" that afternoon when she spoke to her husband. Kyle sounded "irritated," she has testified, then he never responded to a text asking if he was OK. Yet Routh hasn't revealed a clear reason in the fatal shootings. Kyle was shot four times in the back and once in the face. Littlefield was shot five times in the back. Instead, the jury has heard a series of bizarre explanations for why Routh allegedly turned the guns on Kyle and Littlefield. Routh's attorneys say the former Marine suffers from psychosis, paranoia and schizophrenia. Prosecutors argue Routh is a "troubled man" who struggles with a "personality disorder," not insanity. The arguments are in direct contrast to one another. While Dr. Randall Price, a forensic psychologist who testified as the prosecution's medical expert, said Routh's heavy marijuana use caused a "substance-induced psychotic disorder," Dr. Mitchell Dunn said his opinion was that Routh's "psychosis was not substance-induced." "It is my opinion that he was suffering from a severe mental disease or defect that caused him not to know his conduct was wrong," Dunn testified. One piece of evidence -- video from the police car after Routh's arrest -- shows the accused shooter complaining of mental problems and confusion. "I've been so paranoid-schizophrenic all day, I don't know what to even think of the world right now," he told the officer. "I don't know if I'm insane. Or sane. I don't know what's even sane in the world right now."
http://www.cnn.com/2015/02/23/us/eddie-ray-routh-american-sniper-motive/index.html
So basically, you're telling me that Kyle had the Dorito's and wouldn't share?
That's the one thing people who use Mary-Jane overlook.. the chance that this can be caused. Everybody is unique, and not every persons' body can chemically handle certain substances. My ex outright refused to have any when I offered on the rare occasions because she has a family history of psychosis related issues, as well as anxiety/MDD, and she didn't want to risk triggering anything.
Well it probably wasn't a good idea for someone with a compromised mental state to try a psychoactive plant. Though in reality, what else could have set him off if it wasn't weed? He could have flipped if he drank, did other drugs, or hell just saw something he really didn't like.

You have a drink in a compromised state, the next minute you can be setting a building on fire and flipping cars. The "reefer madness" argument doesn't hold water.
if you disregard the whole marijuana part and take it as its written "substance use" then both sides agree this dude is not right
Seems to me that he has some personality disorder or some other mental problem, mixing marijuana with it tends to lead to bad results, especially if your already paranoid and confused. Even without any chemical substance I've seen someone with mental problems like this pop off totally unexpectedly, asking them what they want to eat or turning on a radio, small things like that. This friend of mine used to go through 3 papers a day, not reading them, but looking for hidden messages directed at him, same with television.
Any medicine can induce a psychotic state upon you if you're in the wrong state of mind. Weed has no strong tendencies toward these more so than any other "mind altering" drug.
It's true, smoking weed makes you hate America and want to kill patriots like Chris Kyle.

Also it really hurts when smokers try to sweep under the rug the people who do get bad effects, or turn around saying "it's your fault somehow".

So, stranger things can happen. People's brains react differently to different shit man. I theorize that basically what happens is my brain reacts to pot and goes, "yeah well, that's sorta like lsd and shit (I mostly took LSD, but I did 2-c and shrooms a few times, 2-C is probably the safest non-plant psychedelic), so let's fucking trip." It is entirely possible that someone who is prone to psychosis to react in a similar fashion with the effect being psychosis instead of hallucinations. As a result, I don't smoke pot or anything anymore because I want to avoid any other potential complications that could arise. That, and drugs are boring.
As you can see here in this instructional video..
My bf is schizophrenic and the last time he did mariguanos he ended up in the mental hospital. Im all for weed but when you do it you give up control of yourself a little bit. For some people that doesnt matter, but for some people it means a lot.
mariguanos? lizard weed?
Mariguano 'cause it made him go batshit. Also are these prosecutors really gonna go for the Reefer Madness angle? Do they WANT the guy to go free?

So do we illegalize alcohol because some people can't handle it? Or do we leave people to use their own responsibility? Alcohol is a drug and taking it out of "Some people can't handle drugs" mindset is flat out hypocritical.

Even in this case somebody with mental problems drinking or smoking is going to end in bad results.
This is still a case? The guy was clearly fucked up from the war.
This is still a case? The guy was clearly fucked up from the war.
Part of the trial is to determine that. Even if it's obvious, it has to go through the process like everyone else would.
mariguanos? lizard weed?
i cant mention the sacred dank nugs by name putin is watching
