“I was able to wing chun my way to survival,” he told the Oregonian/OregonLive in an interview this week over Facebook messenger, referring to a Chinese martial art.
Fuck that man. Getting attacked with any sharp object is a huge NOPE for me. It sounded like the whole relationship was a bit unhealth, what with the guys 12-13 hour PUBG marathons, but that really isn't an excuse for wanting to kill a guy in his sleep with a sword.
Wow... what a weird situation, lucky he survived
I have so many questions about the thought processes of everybody involved.
That article sounds fake as fuck. If I were someone who had a near-death experience and nearly lost limbs, I wouldn't ever speak the way he does.
This is absolutely crazy.
I mean, that's certainly one way to get your point across.
Also:
“I saw the look in her eyes, and it scared the living poop out of me,” he told the news outlet.
“I’ve been preparing my whole life for something like this.”
“I wasn’t a sweaty nerd, more of an Ethlete,” Lovell told the Oregonian/OregonLive.
I mean I know you almost got cut up, but talk about hamming it up.

Yeah I don't think he'd be speaking quite like that if it'd been a face to face interview...
been recently logging 12 to 13 hours a day playing the game.
And counting that I don't think he is a totally sane frame of mind
After reading the article, it is safe to say they are both crazy people.
Got a hearty chuckle out of reading the article. I mean, after surviving a sword attack unarmed, I guess the best thing you can feel is pride.
" Suspicion and video games were behind a bloody attack in Washington, police say. " VIDYA GAMESSSSSSSSSSSSSS
I don't really think dragging in someone's hours of play should really be a part of an article about them getting fucking stabbed.
It was part of the motivation for the stabbing and was brought up by the victim himself so it makes sense to me that it would be in the article.
How would that...excuse a st..why would you even admit that?
I can't tell if the victim is just a super-douche or an overly optimistic guy. Super weird response to attempted murder by significant other.
I'm not sure if I'm having a fever dream or not, but I think this is like the second or third time I've read about a girlfriend stabbing their boyfriend with a samurai sword.
While you were out fucking I studied the blade.

Here's the 911 call. It's pretty bizarre how hysterically regretful she sounds after repeatedly stabbing her boyfriend with a sword. I dunno, some people are just fucking weird.
It does sound like some shit Mac would say.
“I was able to wing chun my way to survival,”
“I’ve been preparing my whole life for something like this.”
“I’ve played all the sports, won big games, landed some decent tricks on my snowboard. This was better.”
guaranteed the immediate reaction wasn't "oh my god i stabbed my boyfriend" but instead "oh my god i'm going to jail for a very long time, i did not think this plan through"
???
You don't have to be sherlock holmes to see that she isn't right in the head; if she wanted to murder him and get away with it she wouldn't have used a goddamn sword.
