• The story of why I have to listen to shit music.

Just recently, my computer started playing weird sounds, almost music like. When I finally worked out that it was music, I started looking through all my windows and tabs to see if any of the web pages I was browsing had adverts with sound or videos playing. Nope, nothing. It stopped so I disregarded it and went to bed. So it has happened again a couple of times in the past few days but only odd clips of noise. It sounds like a bad radio signal, or a streamed video that is trying to buffer as it plays. One time it happened when I had nothing open, and again when I was turning off the computer, so I figured it may not be my computer. I thought it could be something wierd like my speakers picking up radio signals from my nieghbors house (don't ask me how, I'm speculating here) It was just happening but then a thing appeared saying internet explorer has stopped working (I don't use IE and it wasn't open when the message came up) and the music stopped. So I really have no idea what the fuck is going on. Anyway I was wondering if anyone had some idea of what the hell this is. All I know is that it's very annoying and I can't turn it down. It's happening right now and it's driving me insane.

Cheap speakers pick up radio signals.
you should really get that shit checked out :clint:
This phenomenon is known as "radio frequency breakthrough interference". It occurs because the speaker leads are acting as an antenna and picking up the radio wave, converting it to an electrical signal.
http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview/id/743009.html There's yer explanation. I don't know of a solution though. I think turning off the speakers will do the job.
Possibly some kind of malware. I had one quite a while ago that would tell the little speaker inside the case to beep every 20 minutes. Annoying as all fuck...

This was a good story. I do not think the title fits however. You get a C, Billy.
Did you try the anti-virus, I truly believe that you should not get rid of the awesome speakers.
Well I've got ESET NOD antivirus software, had that forever. Haven't downloaded anything dodgy, not recently anyway.
Get the awesome new Anti-Virus 2011 :downs:
Rub magnets over your hard drive.
Ask to borrow somebody else's speakers to rule out the speakers as an issue. Run scans and all that jazz if that fails as already suggested. Good luck with that, I've had speaker issues in the past and I know it's a huge pain in the ass.

Does it happen after you press play on the speakers? I get this with me G15...it's windows media player being a bastard and playing in the background.
New speakers, radio interference.
Haha my guitar amp picked up radio signals before. Freaked me the fuck out.(Picked up a station that was playing Hanna Montana)
This kinda stuff used to happen to me all the time on an old comp. of mine. But I never figured out what it was exactly. It just stopped.
Just get new speakers. Here try this actualy: http://security.symantec.com/sscv6/WelcomePage.asp
Installing Norton is not the solution... Find a program that works without slowly killing your computer. Anyway, I've read about speakers being able to pick up radio-signals or something...
It's the Russians trying to get in to your head, man.
if you delete system32 that should fix all of your problems with your comp and i'm not lying
I like your speakers. They are sexy.... I'm no computer expert, but maybe there is a singing midget in your pc tower.

I get this, but I get preachers and French radio news stations somehow. I don't even live anywhere near France... Also I have even more shit "music". Chavs live next door and think that blasting whatever the fuck they call music will make them popular or cool. It's fucking annoying. :argh:
