Anthony Weiner, D-N.Y., spent over $100,000 on polling and research this month, reports the Wall Street Journal, generating speculation that the former congressman, who resigned in 2011 after revelations that he had sent lewd photos to women over the internet, could be preparing to mount a political comeback. Prior to his fall from grace, Weiner had been preparing for a New York City mayoral campaign. The $100,000 came out of his city campaign account, which still has $4.3 million remaining, and was reflected on a report filed on Friday with New York City election officials. Several of Weiner's potential rivals in the mayoral race greeted the speculation about a comeback with nonchalance, according to WCBS in New York. "I think Anthony should be there. I think he should run. Just stop texting," said City Comptroller John Liu.
His biggest problem: "Anthony Weiner? Who's that... oh wait... Weiner!" Gonna be pretty hard to distance yourself from your past behaviour when your own name reminds voters what you did. :v:
This thread will probably have no critical thinking
I hope he does it, he was one of the few US politicians worth his shit Even his resignation speech was amazing although not because of him
This thread will probably have no critical thinking
You sound intellectually lazy.
This thread will probably have no critical thinking
Pretty hard to have critical thought with a name like Weiner.
You sound intellectually lazy.
It's just that critical thinking cums so easily to him. For him to be pleasured by a conversation it has to be mentally stimulating and hard to follow. Filled with cunning lingual phrases and asinine comments, his idea of a good time involves several men getting hot and bothered with each other as they argue over who is really on top of the conversation. Sometimes the discussion gets to steamy and they have to beat it, but most of the time it's pretty tame.

He's boned.
Newt Gingrich is a massive womanizer and he was somehow speaker so this isn't outside of the realm of possibility.
I wonder if his poll research covers the effects of candidates that did research on polls.
I don't get where the modern sense of shame about politicians engaging in sexual acts came from. Does no one remember Kennedy or Lyndon Big Dick Johnson? Aren't their sexual exploits at least somewhat infamous?
Thanks to the news that picture is forever burnt into my mind.
Republicans have the best names
I was sad when he resigned. Good for him.
Republicans have the best names
weiner was a democrat
When you're going into a field where your name means so much, why wouldn't you change it? At least legally and keep your actual name socially. It makes no sense in my head.
When you're going into a field where your name means so much, why wouldn't you change it? At least legally and keep your actual name socially. It makes no sense in my head.
pr wise a name change might be a worse move than being named weiner. it looks like you are ashamed or hiding your past when changing your name and election pr requires a person to at least seem very proud of their past.
The only thing that could've hurt his chances more than that name would be if he were called Richard Weid.
Stop making all of these dick jokes, it's getting hard swallowing all of these sillijisms.

I quite liked Weiner. He seems like a chill chap to have a beer with, which is nice in a politician.
