A friend made a pretty amazing 2D shooter with different classes and LAN support.
I offered to make some music for him (in which he sent me a pretty epic strings piece)
But since it's a space type shooter I didn't think classic would go very well with it.
Here is the theme for the Fire class:

The aim is to have the melodies of the 4 classes fit together to make the main theme.
Sorry guys, I forgot FP went through plastic surgery. If you want you can move this to gig room.
Sounds pretty good, but it needs some better mixing. I think your channels are a tad overloaded. I could hear some compression artifacts here and there.

I am pretty new to this art form, although I understand the compression, how would I go about with better mixing?
Just bring down the level of all the channels, fiddle around with the panning and whatnot, so there's no sounds going above 0db. Ideally they should lie around -6 or something. Then you can master it.
I think the pianos a little too loud but it's nice.
Adjust the volume of each instrument so that they all equally fit together. You'll know when you have the right mix because each instrument will sound transparent, and no sounds will drown out the others.
You also need to try not to have too many instruments working around the same hertz frequency.
If you stick three different bass-lines all around 40-80 hertz, they're going to interpolate and 'fight' over bandwith.
It's a tedious process, but very rewarding.
